KENT WILDLIFE TRUST 2015 PHOTO COMP:..First Place !! and...

17th November 2015
It's always nice to get some recognition for your efforts and equally nice when it is a local cause that I support as much as possible. The annual Kent Wildlife Trust Photography Competition, whilst small as it is only Kent images entered, attracts some very good photographers and I'm happy to report that three of my images had some success this year with a 1st place in the Fauna Category with my Barn Owl image taken in a glorious sunrise last winter. Also a 3rd place in the Flora category with a shot taken in my own woods of sunlit wood anemones and a 3rd place in the Landscape, Coastline and People Category with a night shot at Dungeness power station called "Modern World Meets The Old". So very pleased with my hat trick and if they do anything to increase local awareness of the beauty and fragility of our wildlife and environment I will feel it's a small contribution to help.
Here are the three images and one of John Bennett of KWT presenting me with my awards. Thanks John for all you and your team's efforts.
